UX design is about effectively identifying and then addressing the needs and circumstances of your users with the aim of creating a website or application that is a pleasure and seamless to use.

Although for most users this will be a subjective, almost unconscious feeling, the way to optimise this experience is now a definitive, well-established discipline. It’s based on the fundamental notion that design decisions should be based on the needs and wants of users, rather left to a vague process rooted in what a designer thinks will work and what the client thinks they want.
