User Experience Design (UX)

UX design is about effectively identifying and then addressing the needs and circumstances of your users with the aim of creating a website or application that is a pleasure and seamless to use.

Although for most users this will be a subjective, almost unconscious feeling, the way to optimise this experience is now a definitive, well-established discipline. It’s based on the fundamental notion that design decisions should be based on the needs and wants of users, rather left to a vague process rooted in what a designer thinks will work and what the client thinks they want.

in brief

The principles of User Experience remain at the heart of all our work, but a typical UX process would involve the following:

  • Personas and User Profiling
  • Lots of post-it notes usually stuck all over the studio wall
  • Customer Journey Mapping / User Flows
  • Wireframing and Prototypes
  • Usability Testing
  • User Interface Design (UI)
  • Multivariate and A/B Testing
